Oh please! Avoid some ridicule SEO Techniques that’ll negatively affect your web ranking
Everybody would like to get a good ranking in front of search engines, regardless the techniques used for getting that. I know that in SEO all is about techniques (black or white) but not all ways you implement to bring traffic and high ranking are the most positives for your website. I personally think that major search engines such as Google and Yahoo are the kings of this business and you should follow their rules.
However, please try to avoid the dirty SEO techniques many bloggers are writing around the web. It can bring you problems in your web ranking, affecting negatively your business because the search engines will understand you are trying to increase your ranking through malicious tactics.
There are a lot of people saying that you should write for humans not for machines, that you should concentrate your attention in produce high quality content, that you have to learn a lot whether you want some decent money and too many other things. I agree with that, but you may also have in mind avoid to do a lot of things that “the kings” (search engines) don’t like you to do. Let’s evaluate this simple list and then tell us your thinking about it.
Keyword Stuffing: It is very similar to spamming Google or Yahoo search engines. In this dirty tactic you use a targeted keyword such as “women looking for men” and you repeat this keyword abusively throughout the page trying to increase the ranking attempting call the attention of search engines. Today Google’s bots are more intelligent than yesterday and probably this practice doesn’t drive your site to bring good results.
Cookie Stuffing: Other practice is the cookie stuffing where you can embed a cookie in the web browser of every people visiting your web site or blog. Doing that you would even be able to make fraudulent clicks or participate in forums with a fake signature without those users ever knowing that.
Black Hat PPC: The black hat pay-per-click mechanism is in my opinion one of the most dangerous but there are a lot of smart crackers doing a lot of money with this practice. There are too many tricks and a ton of articles teaching you how do it. The problem is that if you are using Google Adsense you could be banned very easily. Google has a very intelligent system for detecting not only fraudulent clicks but also how to determine which web sites are using black hat scripting or malicious bots for simulate human people making clicks.
Link Farms: Link farms are considered web sites whose unique purpose is artificially increase the link popularity through link exchanges. Unfortunately Google’s bot know who they are and where they are located. If you are planning doing that because somebody told you it’s a great way to have a better position in the search engines, just avoid doing that and avoid be penalized.
